NEWS AND THANKS

March has come and gone very quickly. It was so wonderful to see the church full for the Mothers Day Service. More chairs had to be brought in which is always a wonderful thing. All the families enjoyed staying on after the service for refreshments and the ladies loved their posies. Of course these things don’t just happen without lots of help. The flowers needed to be bought and made into lovely little bunches and this was once again done by Marie, Denise and Katie. Thank you Ladies. Also a big shout out to Denise, Sandra and Dave who organised and helped in the kitchen and washed up afterwards. Thank you to those who made cakes and brought goodies to eat. As I remind you every month this church would not be able to stay open without all the help we receive. Many people do jobs that are not always obvious to others, but they make a huge difference i.e. Furniture moving happens several times a week, table cleaning, doors being unlocked and open for easy access for people who find walking difficult, lights turned on, kitchen prepared for refreshments. It is always so wonderful to have all this assistance without having to ask for it. Thank you all very much.

A very big thank you to Allan who has changed all the lights in the halls for LED tubes. This is a massive job which involved a heavy scaffold tower, which fortunately we own and of course the skill to do this for us. All without the cost of paying someone to do the work for us. Thank you very much and we do hope that the brighter light will lift the dark rooms and benefit all the hall uses.

As we are now in April the clocks have gone forward and although spring is very late this year it is beginning to make a start!! It just lifts my heart when I see green shoots and the magnificent willow trees which are fully out now, and so beautiful. New life! How amazing nature is. One of my favourite walks with Twiggy our dog is over the fields behind us. I have special places where I just stop, think and watch, I feel very blessed to be able to walk over fields and enjoy the nature all around me. To be quiet, and away from the distractions of home, to be thankful for all my blessings. To watch the seasons as they come and go. To be reminded and celebrate that at Easter which is our springtime God gave us wonderful new life in and through Jesus. Jesus came to give us life and life abundantly. Hallelujah! What a Saviour! I pray that we may know Jesus personally in our lives. He Loves You, He Cares about You. Trust Him for all.

God is saying to you today, “I am giving you signs everyday:

In your sleep, On your timeline, In your conversations,

In your music, On the television, On the radio, at work, In the sky.

Pay attention to them And piece them together.

You will notice a pattern. I am communicating with you.”

Prayers for Easter

Father, we are so grateful that for our sake You made Jesus Christ Your Son to be sin who knew no sin, So that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

Lord Jesus, You suffered and died for us. By rising from the grave You overcame evil and opened heaven for us.

God of all hope, as we celebrate Your resurrection morning and worship You rejoicing that the Lord Jesus has conquered death and we can receive full forgiveness, freedom and eternal life through Him. Help us to walk in this great hope, putting away our sin to live righteously by the power of Your Spirit. Amen

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief’s to bear! What a privilege to carry everything to God in Prayer! O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear – all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!

Give thanks to God for the signs of spring and the joy of new life. We have been blessed with a new Grandson.

We give thanks for this village, for our friends and neighbours, for all the amenities we have here in Silver End, and especially for our churches. We are so blessed that we are able to gather together for Worship and Praise, growing in faith and love, being renewed and restored by His grace through the work of the Holy Spirit.

We pray for our School and for all the children, teachers and all who work within the school. We covert them for the Lord. We pray for the Christian Youth Organisation who work within local schools and do such amazing work with our young people. Please give to them Your Love, Grace, and Guidance through Your Holy Spirit.

As always we remember all those, from this fellowship, our families and village who are in much need of our prayers at this time. We pray especially for Roy, for Doreen, for Brenda, for Val, for Rose, for Shelia, for Judy. We know of others grieving at this time.

We also give thanks for the many blessings we enjoy and take for granted. For the very air we breathe, for power to light and heat our homes. For the homes we live in, for food, for our families, for the beauty of creation. Thanks be to God

Heavenly father, We lift up our World to you today. We acknowledge with humility that whilst we seek to care, we often fail to remember. Help us to remember, and in doing so better care for our world. We thank you that we are all, indeed loved beyond measure.

For I know the plans I have for you, “declares the Lord……….. Jeremiah 29:11

Quote: When we think, “It’s too late.” God whispers, “I still have a plan.”
