THANKS THIS MONTH

A huge thank you to Karen and Pauline for making the beautiful new banners inside the church. They are so eye catching and colourful, which certainly makes an impact as you walk in. We are very blessed to have such skilled crafts women. Thank you both very much.

Thanks also go to Brenda for collecting the flowers from Braintree for Mothers Day, for Anne sorting out the greenery and foil and a big thank you to Denise and Marie for assembling the posies ready for the Sunday. Thank you Carol for cooking breakfast and helping with advertising on social media and Allan for putting up the big poster. What would we do without all the little and big things, that are just done and got on with! We have lots of help behind the scenes, helping and backing us up. THANK YOU EVERYONE.

We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

EASTER 3 days that changed the world

Why Did He Have To Die?

Why was Jesus crucified? Why did He have to die?

He never did a bad deed, or ever told a lie!

Why did Judas Iscariot betray him with a kiss?

What had Jesus done to him that he should act like this?

And Peter, he denied Him! Three times he said, ‘not me,’

when asked if he was one of them or came from Galilee.

How could men have plaited thorns to crown this noble brow?

Scourged His back ‘till it was raw? Oh God! please tell me –how?

And then they took Him out to die, upon a cross of wood.

This one who came to show the world just what is meant by GOOD.

Oh Lord I pray forgive me! I’ve no room to criticise.

I’m just like all the rest of them, a sinner in your eyes.

But I thank you that I now know just why He had to die.

It was to save the world from sin; His blood to sanctify.

Death was not the end for Him; God raised Him from the tomb!

He lives! The blessed Saviour lives, and heaven is his home.

One day He’s coming back again, I’ve read it in His word;

and we shall live with Him for aye, O Praise Him! Praise the Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ, thank You from the depth of our hearts, for sacrificing Your life at Calvary – atoning for our sin and bearing our grief’s on the cross. May we live out Your love by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Please continue with your ‘Promise Prayers’ for this fellowship, Members, Supporters, all Groups, Deacons and Leadership and the people from this village. Prayer is the most important activity Christians should be engaging in at this time.

Lord Jesus, please bless your people in Silver End. May we be filled with Your love and the Spirit of God, we seek to follow and serve You. We pray that Your church might grow as Your Holy Spirit prepares the hearts of men, women and children. Protect us we pray, from the evil one who is out to destroy lives. We ask Lord that You would send workers to move into this village to work alongside other Christians to bring about the furtherance of Your Kingdom to the Glory of God. Amen.

Please pray for Roy’s son in law, Ian who is seriously ill. Remember all the family at this time. Please pray for Rose and Ruth, both marvellous ladies who need our prayers.

Prayer: for our Country Our father in heaven, let your kingdom come and your will be done in the United Kingdom as in heaven. Cause our nation to turn to you Lord and Saviour. Amen.
