THOUGHT FOR THE MONTH
Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all that love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
From St. Patrick – 4th century
Breathe in me O Holy Spirit that my thoughts may all be holy. Act in me O holy spirit that my work too may be holy; Draw my heart O Holy Spirit that I will love what is holy; Strengthen me O Holy Spirit, that I will defend all that is holy; Guard me O holy Spirit; that I may always be holy. Amen

Suggested Prayers
When you can’t put your prayers into words….
God hears your heart
Isaiah 65:24 Romans 8:26
‘Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience, Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone.’ Colossians 3:12,13 (NIV)
Please keep in your prayers those who are struggling with their health, physically and mentally. We especially pray for Asher, Tara & Paul, Anne and her brother-in-law Peter, Brenda, Judy, Peggy, Clare, Lesley, and Dorothy. Pray for all who are grieving at this time. We, give God thanks that he hears our prayers, and continues to bless even during the difficult times.
‘For God, who said, ‘Let there be light in the darkness,’ has made this light shine in our hearts so we could know the glory of God that is seen in the face of Jesus Christ.’ 2 Corinthians 4:6 (NLT)
Lord Jesus we ask you to bless this village, especially our friends and neighbours. Help us to show and share the love of God to those we have contact with.
We pray for those who live in the Residential Homes and the Autistic Homes in Sheepcotes Lane. Surround them with your love and presence.
We ask you Lord Jesus to bless all who serve You in this community, pour out Your spirit we pray.
‘I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions and thanksgiving be made for all people – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our saviour, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.’ 1Timothy 2: 1-4 (NIV)
Almighty God, we bring before You the elected representatives of each of our parliaments and Assemblies, and members of the House of Lords. Please instil in them a spirit of integrity and service and help them to put the welfare of the people of the United Kingdom before personal or party interests. Amen.
Lord, please show grace and favour to the politicians, negotiators and civil servants who are trying to make progress on the various aspects of Brexit. May the final agreement be fair and workable for all parties. Amen
