A PRAYERFUL THOUGHT

Dear Lord I’ll really do my best, I know you’ve put me to the test. Help me use this day for you, filled with love in all I do. Keep me smiling, filled with hope, strong and healthy, so I’ll cope, and never grumble, patient be, only kind and gentle me. Then when the day is turned to night I’ll be at peace – I did things right.              Chrissy Greenslade

THANKS THIS MONTH

Thank you to Val & Geoff who have kindly donated a Gazebo to the church. This will be very useful when we do any outdoor events. Thank you both very much. Also can we say a big thank you to Jane and Carolyn for helping to seal the church hall floors during the half-term holidays. This is very much appreciated, we can’t thank you enough.

This is our God, The Servant King, He calls us now to follow Him, to bring our lives as a daily offering of worship to The Servant King     (Graham Kendrick)

Suggested Prayers

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.’           Matthew 6:33 (NLT)

Glorious King, we worship You today and recommit ourselves to follow You. Thank You Holy Spirit that You live within us giving us wisdom, grace and strength to put Christ’s kingdom first in our lives and to trust the Father for all we need. Amen.

Give thanks for everyone engaged in evangelism, Christian discipleship and Bible teaching, using every means of communication to people throughout the world. Pray that they will be inspired and guided by the Holy Spirit in their words and deeds to walk closely in the ways of Christ.

Pray for the church of Jesus Christ to grow. Pray for all the speakers who take our services. Remember the work of C.Y.O, who work in our local schools. Pray for the Chaplin’s that work in the NHS, Prisons and with the Emergency services and our Military.

God’s Word illuminates the darkness and confusion. His Spirit is the source of all comfort – He gives ‘peace… which surpasses all understanding.’                              Phillipians 4:7 RSV

Remember friends and family who are in need of our prayers. We would commend you to keep Jan and Eileen Ayres in your prayers. We continue to remember Peggy, Gloria’s friend. We continue to pray for our dear friend Clare and ask the Lord for his healing hand on her. We add Ruth Damsell to our prayers. Lord we thank You for her faith in You as she struggles with ill health. May she know Your presence with her. We give You thanks for Ruth Aitken who has become such a life line to Ruth, we pray that You will continue to bless all such.

His presence addresses the loneliness, and His power enables the hurting heart to overcome feelings of helpness. People in crisis are often disoriented, which causes them to forget what God has already given them.

Pray for all who will be taking holidays over the next couple of months, that they enjoy themselves and come back feeling refreshed and renewed.

Pray for the Congregational Federation and especially our Eastern Area as they come together for Assembly which is being held in London this year. We ask that the Holy Spirit will cover, enable and direct all who are going

Pray for this community – we give thanks that we as a fellowship are able to serve the Lord here. Pray for all Christians who live and work here. May we all bring Your Love, Hope and Joy to those around us. Continue to pray for the Churches here and their Ministry and leadership.
