THANKS THIS MONTH
Thank you to Val who is kindly remembering everyone birthday’s, as they come along throughout the year. It is so lovely to receive a birthday card thoughtfully written on behalf of the fellowship. Thank you, Val and Geoff. Also thank you to those who provide and arrange flowers for the church on a Sunday. These things are very much appreciated and in service to our Lord Jesus Christ.
So let us learn how to serve and in our lives enthrone Him, each other’s needs to prefer, for it is Christ we’re serving. This is our God, the Servant King, He calls us now to follow Him, to bring our lives as a daily offering, of Worship to The Servant King. (Graham Kendrick)

Suggested Prayers
‘The whole earth is filled with awe at Your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, You call forth songs of joy. You care for the land and water it. You enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with corn, for so You have ordained it.’
Psalm 65:8,9 (NIV)
Lord we marvel at your creation. The month of May is the most beautiful of our season, when everything is so green, fresh and new. The trees, hedgerows and verges lush of all shades of green. Beautiful spring flowers in our gardens which cheer us after a long cold winter. We have a bounteous God!
‘Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens; your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.’ Psalm 36:5 (New Living Translation)
Lord, please remind us that we need to look after this world, we are sorry for our thoughtlessness and neglect that have caused serious damage to our natural environment, especially in our oceans. Please help us all to halt irresponsible disposal of plastics and other rubbish.
Please continuously pray for this community, from the eldest to the youngest. Help us to show love, care and concern for neighbours and friends.
Remember friends and family who are in need of our prayers. We would commend you to keep Jan in your prayers. Jan is now in Valentine House for respite care. We pray for Peggy, Gloria’s friend as she now receives palliative care. We give thanks to God for Clare, who has received good signs of improvement.
‘For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being.’ Job 12:10 (New Living Translation)
Pray for this community – we give thanks that we as a fellowship are able to serve the Lord here. Pray for all Christians who live and work here. May we all bring Your Love, Hope and Joy to those around us. Continue to pray for the Churches here and their Ministry and leadership.
Please pray for the church’s Annual General Meeting. As we give thanks to God for His faithfulness to us over this last year and look to Him for the future.
Pray about Brexit; that through negotiations the British Government and EU leaders will reach just and workable agreements concerning trade, freedom of movement, immigration, border controls, security and defence, the environment and other issues.
